Lower Bucks Hospital Earns Top Marks on Social Responsibility Ranking

Lower Bucks Hospital recognized for delivering health equity and high value care in addition to great clinical outcomes

Bristol, PA (July 10, 2026) —Lower Bucks Hospital has proudly earned an “A” grade on the 2026 Lown Hospitals Index for Social Responsibility, placing it among the top hospitals nationally for its overall commitment to health equity, value, and outcomes.

The Lown Hospitals Index is the only national ranking that examines how equitably care is delivered, how well hospitals invest in their communities, and whether patients receive high-value care that avoids unnecessary procedures, in addition to traditional measures like clinical outcomes and patient safety. More than 50 metrics contribute to a hospital’s overall score.

Michael Motte, CEO of Lower Bucks Hospital, stated, “This accolade reflects our dedication to ensuring that all patients receive care that is both equitable and exceptional. Our team’s hard work and commitment to patient-centered care are what drive our success.”

He further added, “We are continuously striving to improve our services and make a positive impact on the community we serve. This recognition motivates us to continue our mission of delivering high-quality, compassionate care to everyone who walks through our doors.”

Lower Bucks Hospital has consistently demonstrated excellence through various accolades over the years:

  • 2022: Lown Institute’s Honor Roll by earning “A” grades in social responsibility, value of care, patient outcomes, clinical outcomes, and cost efficiency. Ranked among the Top 100 Hospitals in the Nation and fourth in Pennsylvania for Cost Efficiency.
  • 2023-2024: Lown Institute Award for outstanding social responsibility, receiving an “A” grade on the Lown Institute Hospitals Index for health equity, patient outcomes, and value of care.
  • 2024-2025: Lown Institute Award for equity, value, and outcomes, showcasing exceptional performance in community benefit, pay equity, and inclusivity.
  • 2025-2026: Lown Institute Hospitals Index for Social Responsibility, achieving Grade A in Social Responsibility, Health Equity, Patient Outcomes, Clinical Outcomes, and Inclusivity.

“The Lown Index takes a comprehensive look at who hospitals are—their outcomes, their value, their commitment to community,” said Vikas Saini, MD, president of the Lown Institute. “An ‘A’ in social responsibility means a hospital has met high standards across the board.”

Lower Bucks Hospital remains dedicated to advancing healthcare practices and strengthening community bonds, making a significant impact on the lives of those it serves.
