Celebrating Excellence in Healthcare: Lower Bucks Hospital and Roxborough Memorial Hospital Honored with GPBCH Leapfrog Quality and Safety Award

 

In a significant recognition of their unwavering commitment to patient safety and quality care, Lower Bucks Hospital and Roxborough Memorial Hospital were recently awarded the GPBCH Leapfrog Quality and Safety Award. This accolade was presented during a momentous event hosted by the Greater Philadelphia Business Coalition on Health (GPBCH), which celebrated the five-year anniversary of the Leapfrog Quality and Safety Awards.

 

A Milestone Celebration

 

The GPBCH event attracted nearly 100 attendees, marking a milestone in the coalition’s efforts to elevate healthcare standards in the region. A total of 20 hospitals and one Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) were honored for their dedication to providing safer, high-quality care, as determined by data from the Leapfrog Group. This event not only celebrated the achievements of these institutions but also reinforced the importance of transparency and accountability in healthcare delivery.

 

Recognizing Consistent Excellence

 

On this fifth anniversary, the GPBCH recognized five hospitals that have achieved five consecutive years of “Straight A’s” on Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grades. This remarkable achievement underscores the relentless pursuit of excellence in patient safety and quality care that these hospitals embody.

The program featured a panel discussion with notable speakers, including Dr. Matthew McCambridge from a local health system and Aaron B. Schrader of the Delaware Statewide Benefits Office.
