Lower Bucks Hospital Donates Thanksgiving Meals to Those in Need

In the spirit of the Thanksgiving season, Lower Bucks Hospital employees recently came together to donate Thanksgiving baskets and turkeys to local families in need this holiday season. Each basket was complete with all the fixings for a tasty Thanksgiving meal, including mashed potatoes, vegetables, stuffing, gravy, napkins, rolls, pastries, pies, winter gloves, blankets, hot chocolate, marshmallows, and a bottle of sparkling cider.

Lower Bucks Hospital connected with local agencies striving to improve the lives of others in the Bristol communities this season. The hospital adopted 19 families who will be receiving a Thanksgiving dinner and other gifts donated by the Hospital employees.

Lower Bucks Hospital would like to thank Action- Manufacturing Company for donating funds for the turkeys and their commitment to serving families in need. We also extend our thanks to Bristol Township, Bristol Borough, Bucks County Housing Authority, Bristol Township School District, Bristol Borough School District, and Bucks County Community College for their efforts in securing the families in need.

“We are honored to have donated turkeys and thanksgiving baskets to the local community this Thanksgiving season and providing dinner to many in the area,” said Michael Motte, chief executive officer of Lower Bucks Hospital. “We, at Lower Bucks Hospital, pride ourselves in supporting the communities we serve each and every day, especially during this time of giving.”

For most families, the COVID-19 pandemic has drastically changed the way they celebrate the holidays. For those struggling, donating a traditional Thanksgiving meal can help turn their holiday into a joyful one.

Motte added, “I am so grateful for the partnerships with our local organizations and we hope this initiative makes Thanksgiving a little bit brighter for our friends and neighbors.”
