Lower Bucks Hospital Partners with Bristol Township to Promote Child Safety through Helmet Donation Initiative
BRISTOL, PA (08/15/2025) –In a collaborative effort to enhance child safety, Lower Bucks Hospital has proudly donated a selection of colorful, size-adjustable helmets to the local community. This initiative, aimed at encouraging safe practices among children while biking and skateboarding, was launched in partnership with Bristol Township and supported by Gibby’s Ice Cream, which provided delicious rewards for the young participants.
The event, held at the Bristol Township Building, allowed families to sign a release form and choose from a variety of helmets in colors including blue, pink, yellow, green, and black. All helmets met the necessary safety requirements for children’s bike helmets, ensuring that the young riders are protected while enjoying outdoor activities.
Jessica Ireland, Director of Parks & Recreation of Bristol Township, expressed her enthusiasm about the partnership. “We are thrilled to collaborate with Lower Bucks Hospital on this initiative. It’s vital that our children have the right safety gear to protect themselves while enjoying activities like biking and skateboarding. This donation not only provides helmets but also promotes a culture of safety within our community.”
Renee Stewart, Chief Nursing Officer of Lower Bucks Hospital, emphasized the hospital’s commitment to community health and safety. “At Lower Bucks Hospital, we believe in supporting our community in every way possible. By providing these helmets, we are encouraging our children to engage in healthy activities while ensuring their safety. We hope this initiative inspires more families to prioritize safety as they enjoy outdoor fun.”
Michael Motte, CEO of Lower Bucks Hospital, added, “Our partnership with Bristol Township is a testament to our dedication to fostering a safe environment for our youth. We are proud to contribute to this initiative and support the health and well-being of our future generations. Together, we are making a positive impact in our community.”
This helmet donation initiative underscores the importance of safety and protection for children as they embrace outdoor activities. By working together, Lower Bucks Hospital and Bristol Township are leading the way in promoting safe practices and encouraging families to prioritize safety in their daily lives.
