Lower Bucks Hospital Awarded ‘A’ Hospital Safety Grade from Leapfrog Group

Bristol, PA ( November 18, 2022) – Lower Bucks Hospital, a member of Prime Healthcare, received an “A” Hospital Safety Grade from the Leapfrog Group. This national distinction celebrates Lower Bucks Hospital’s achievements in protecting hospital patients from preventable harm and errors.

The Leapfrog Group has awarded Lower Bucks Hospital, a member of Prime Healthcare, with an “A” Hospital Safety Grade from the Leapfrog Group. The hospital received this award for the second consecutive time and is one of the only 17 hospitals in the Philadelphia region to be awarded an “A.”

“We are so proud to accept this ‘A’ recognition, which highlights the unwavering commitment of our Lower Bucks Hospital team to providing the highest quality care and the safest experience possible to our patients,” said Lea Rodriguez, Chief Nursing Officer of Lower Bucks Hospital. “We applaud the efforts of our nurses, clinicians and staff each and every day, and are grateful to the Leapfrog Group for recognizing their efforts.”

“I applaud the hospital leadership and workforce for their strong commitment to safety and transparency,” said Leah Binder, President and CEO of The Leapfrog Group. “An ‘A’ Safety Grade is a sign that hospitals are continuously evaluating their performance, so that they can best protect patients. Your hospital team should be extremely proud of their dedication and achievement.”

The Leapfrog Group is an independent national watchdog organization with a 10-year history of assigning letter grades to general hospitals throughout the United States, based on a hospital’s ability to prevent medical errors and harm to patients. The grading system is peer-reviewed, fully transparent, and free to the public. Hospital Safety Grade results are based on more than 30 national performance measures and are updated each fall and spring.

“Our ‘A’ grade reflects our team’s commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care,” said Michael Motte, Chief Executive Officer of Lower Bucks Hospital.
