How many intern (PGY1) positions do you plan to offer?

We plan to offer five (5) spots for the upcoming academic year.

Do you have an Electronic Medical Record (EMR)?

Yes. Lower Bucks Hospital and its in-house offices/services utilize Epic as the EMR with Dragon dictation capabilities. Secure remote access is available as well. Medical record systems in private offices are dependent on the facility’s preference.

What boards educational resources do you provide?

Lower Bucks Hospital provides the AAFP Online Course, UWorld, UpToDate and access to an online library of medical textbooks and PDFs to all residents for the duration of their three-year residency.

Is there an educational stipend?

There is a set educational stipend provided each year to each resident for use on educational resources, scrubs, exam registration, etc. Additional conference stipends are available for residents accepted to present their research at conferences.

Is there a research requirement?

Residents are required to participate in one Scholarly Activity and Quality Improvement Project during their three-year residency. There is a scholarly committee and attendings to assist residents with their research projects.

Is there parking available for residents?

There is ample parking available at Lower Bucks Hospital for free. Most ancillary hospitals and offices also provide free parking for our residents as well.

Can I do an elective rotation outside of the Lower Bucks Hospital?

Residents are encouraged to pursue elective rotations in their areas of interest whether in the Lower Bucks Hospital or outside. Coordination of elective rotations at offices or hospitals outside of pre-approved locations and schedule adjustments are possible within reason. Early notice is needed to arrange dates and contracts among the facilities requested.

Does Lower Bucks Hospital allow residents to moonlight?

Opportunities are available for third year residents in good academic standing with the program director’s approval.
